Private Lessons

Dave offers private lessons for children as young as 5, teens, and adults. Individual private lessons are the most effective way to learn to play the guitar.  Dave uses a customized approach with each of his students to fit each student's interests, goals, and learning styles. His flexible reference guide to practice is a great tool for students accomplishing their goals.

Dave teaches both acoustic and electric guitar techniques using a variety of resources including: method books, online resources, theory books, popular music, songs brought in by his students, and handouts he creates himself. He also offers exercises and techniques in songwriting to those who are interested. Have you tried learning from YouTube? Dave can guide you and answer your questions that have gone unanswered.  Want a good foundation in music theory?  Dave can help you with that too! He also teaches ukulele, which is often helpful for children with small hands.

There are many ways to learn guitar, and Dave is patient and flexible enough to help any student reach their musical goals.

• $35 (half hour),

• $55 (45 minutes)

• $70 (1 hour)
